Omg I've been doing a lot of traveling this year, huh? I'm going to be gone again, as I am just about to leave for a weekend in DC! I'll be back on Monday night, but the hotel I'm staying at doesn't have free net in the rooms, so I can only get online if I wanna sit in the lobby, and I don't see myself being around a ton anyway.

So. Jaina is visiting John and can be modded at will, Mirax is home for the weekend, Angela escaped to home for the weekend, Aeryn's off island anyway and Lily totes can squish spiders for Marshall all he wants. I should be able to ping the kids in to classes and work and yadda yadda yadda.

And so everyone is aware, why yes, I did use fh_trips to figure out where I wanted to go. Sad or awesome? You decide.

Tomorrow morning I get on a plane to go home for my friend's wedding shower. And while I'm sure there are times I'll be able to pop online, I'm scheduled pretty tight so I don't expect to be doing much in the way of playing till I get back Monday night. It's pretty much the anti-vacation. (On the plus side, I always feel really popular when I go home.) So for the time being, Jaina's a kitten (as I can't pass up any opportunity to do so), and the rest of my girls are just going to be quieter, with SO's and roommates having modding rights.

And now back to my regular scheduled running around like a chicken with her head cut off, but way less ew-inducing.

But not for me! This is for Nick, aka laidanegg and assorted others! He says he's sure there are places he was expected to be IG today, such as classes and all, but he will be slightly absent as I badgered him into going to the Obama rally at Grant Park. YES, INTERNETS, YOU WILL BE REPRESENTED THROUGH NICK.

(Also I need to tone down the excitement some as I have SUCH A HEADACHE but I have had nothing but free caffeine and sugar today.)

In case you haven't clicked on any of Jaina's posts this week, the girl has had a really really bad trip home. Kathy Tyers apparently hates her. She's back in Fandom as of tonight, but two things are going to be pretty noticeable that I'm putting up here because I see myself getting tired of writing it out in every first ping really fast:

A) So she kind of went blind? Jaina will be wearing a mask over her eyes quite a bit because of it, but she does take it off and on, so I'll try to be clear on whether she has it or not. Her vision's getting better with time and she will recover fully. Zomg spoilers. Right now she's kind of stuck at the point where she would be able to make out shapes, but not details, at least not without squinting. (Sort of like someone with really bad vision being without their glasses/contacts all the time.) She can however still use the Force to tell her who's around, and she can see well enough that she'll be able to tell if you're trying to put bunny ears on her or something. She's also still totally capable of a Force-thwap for it.

2) She's also kind of bald. She'll definitely be wearing a cap over her head, whether stated in narrative or not, until it grows out some.

Canon is mean to her omg.

So a while back, when I first brought in Jaina, people asked for spoilers for the books, and it turned out to be a really big undertaking to write things out. So with the right motivation (Hi, spotlight post!) I went ahead and wrote them all out.
